Defining Yourself as a Dancer

Art: (n) the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.


Art: (n) any field using the skills or techniques of art


Bullshit: (n) nonsense, lies, or exaggeration


Exotic dancing truly is a balance of both...I think it depends on each individual dancer to determine how much of their dancing career is Art and how much is Bullshit. In other words, it is what you make it.


I have met girls on each end of the spectrum; the ones who are all about the Bullshit (i.e. drama in and out of the club....some girls will always have some dramatic life event going) and others who are about the Art. Can you guess which ones are more successful? Remember, business is about selling. For a dancer who's an artist, this means your image...what you're all about.


A lot of times girls don't realize that they can determine which types of customers they attract. It's all how you brand yourself. Granted this isn't 100% of the time, but for the most part if you act like a slut, guys who are looking for sluts will find you.


So I guess you have to invent yourself as a dancer. It could be the real you or a fake you. This is when dancing becomes an Art of Bullshitting...and art I am slowly and surely getting better at...
