Strippers in the News! (pt. 2)

Watch Angry Stripper's interview on Good Morning America

It does upset me that she lost her job, but any stripper should consider it a possibility...especially since she did have such a high profile job. I do agree with her that it was "mean" that they outed her. Yes, I understand why they did it, it is a great story. But I wish media considered the effect they can have on someone's life. I guess there's nothing anyone can do about it now.

So yeah, it's a bummer for her. But she seems like a smart woman who has her sh*t together. She'll probably have no problem figuring out her next step. Sometimes life throws curve balls at you, especially when you are a stripper...it's all part of the bullsh*t.

Hoping she has a book deal in her near future...she was about due anyway. Good luck Sarah and I'll continue to be a loyal follower of your blog!

Strippers in the News! (pt. 1)

Diary of an Angry Stripper on Good Morning America!

The writer of my favorite stripper blog is scheduled to appear THIS WEEK on Good Morning America...

She was a writer for a newspaper and was 'outed' by another... Now she's all over the news...she's got haters and lovers all over the country. People are dying to post their opinions about our profession.

I tried to access her blog and see that she's blocked it. I wonder what's in store for her? She's already appeared in Maxim, so my thoughts are a book deal. You bet your ass I'm pre-ordering a copy if so!

Going all the way....

I once had a friend say this to me

"You can do whatever the f*ck you want, just own it"

This is such a great quote, for anything in your life.

Whenever new girls come to the club they always ask for tips or advice. I used to be really eager to hand out advice, but I'm starting to find a lot of times I put effort into someone and then never see them again. So I only really do this on slow nights.

Here are my top 5 tips for new girls just getting started:

1. Move Slowly...and if you think you're moving too slow...go slower.
2. Get stripper heels IMMEDIATELY! You'll save your feet so much agony and you'll instantly make your legs and butt look 100x better.
3. Don't attempt to do pole tricks until you feel comfortable (stumbling, awkward pole tricks are not sexy).
4. Say "Thank You" when people tip you.
5. Look people in the eye and smile.

Number 4 and 5 are so important. I have ignored these tips myself from time to time and realize how crucial they can be.

I want to talk about tip number 5 some more. This is where my friend's advice helps me. A lot of girls have said that they have a hard time looking men in the eyes when they dance for them. I can totally understand why...it can be awkward sometimes. But here's the thing: we're strippers, we're entertainers and it's our JOB to engage the audience...if you look past people, they'll look past you...YOU NEED TO OWN IT!

You Know You're a Stripper When...

I found a site which posted "You Know You're a Stripper When..." These are some of my favorites (some I changed slightly) and then a few I came up with myself:

  • You know all the words to "Girls, Girls, Girls."
  • You are out in public and someone shouts out your stage name.
  • After you've watched "Showgirls" for the 4th time, you say to yourself, "God, I really wanna move to Vegas!"
  • You buy hand sanitizer and baby wipes in bulk and you don't have any kids.
  • You made $300 in a night and are complaining that it was a shitty night.
  • You feel totally comfortable being naked with only shoes and a choker on, bent over with your legs spread and looking another female straight in the face and asking, "You can't see my string can you?"
  • You could fit a nights' wardrobe in purple Crown Royal liquor bag.
  • A pimple on your butt is more of a problem than one on your face.
  • You see yourself in a mirror more than you see your own kid.
  • You know that sanitizer & wipes along with your boob job is a tax write off.
  • You go out with 'regular' friends and feel the need to censor yourself on the dance floor.
  • Your pet has glitter in its fur.
  • You can judge how much money your work day will wield just by pulling into the parking lot and noticing familiar cars.
  • A guy tries the pickup line "Don't I know you?" and you immediately think he must be a customer.
  • Your cell phone address screen looks like this: Bambi (Jenny,) Aspen (Sharon,) Diamond (Debra) Raven (Melissa) Desire (Stephanie) Passion (Beth.)
  • You get dressed and undressed while not removing your shoes.
  • You have to "think" when you introduce yourself.
  • Sex kinda turns you off once you get home and sell it to the man you're supposed to.
  • Breakfast takes place before you go to sleep.
  • You can show up for work 10 min, 40 min, 2 hours, or 3 weeks late and still have a job.
  • You gawk more at beautiful women than beautiful men.
  • Your wardrobe has more street value than your vehicle.
Kiki's additions:
  • You find your periods more tolerable due to the increase of income...men love hormones (aka bigger boobs)!
  • You can't remember what color the skin is on your knees and elbows.
  • Your biggest accomplishment at work in the past 3 months is learning how to booty pop.

I wanna hear your guys' now!

Here's a link to that website if you want to see all of them:

If only...

For those of you who don't know who Felix Cane is, you need to immediately STOP reading my blog and watch this video (then come back to my blog). She is the world's best pole dancer and sexy as hell. I want to be this good some day...

Defining Yourself as a Dancer

Art: (n) the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.

Art: (n) any field using the skills or techniques of art

Bullshit: (n) nonsense, lies, or exaggeration

Exotic dancing truly is a balance of both...I think it depends on each individual dancer to determine how much of their dancing career is Art and how much is Bullshit. In other words, it is what you make it.

I have met girls on each end of the spectrum; the ones who are all about the Bullshit (i.e. drama in and out of the club....some girls will always have some dramatic life event going) and others who are about the Art. Can you guess which ones are more successful? Remember, business is about selling. For a dancer who's an artist, this means your image...what you're all about.

A lot of times girls don't realize that they can determine which types of customers they attract. It's all how you brand yourself. Granted this isn't 100% of the time, but for the most part if you act like a slut, guys who are looking for sluts will find you.

So I guess you have to invent yourself as a dancer. It could be the real you or a fake you. This is when dancing becomes an Art of Bullshitting...and art I am slowly and surely getting better at...

It's all about MEEEE!

I think getting a good picture of the person behind the glitter is key to understanding why they choose to show their boobies to complete strangers for a dollar, sometimes for free, and one of the main reasons we all do it: a couple hundo $$$

I am 25 years old, recently married (I was pretty much single when I danced the first time around), and coming back to the stripping scene. I love my husband more than life itself. He is the coolest mother f*cker I know....and the most handsome too <3

I work at a very PG-13 club. I wouldn't be dancing if I worked in a club where customers were allowed to touch me and I had to grind on people's laps all night long. We make most of our money on stage...which I LOVE! Dancing is one of my biggest passions in life.

I am not a very good "hustler"*...though some nights I know I do it unintentionally. I am the sort of stripper that walks away from a customer who's being an ass (even if he's paying). I never do private dances** or stage dances*** I never lie about my relationship status either. Sometimes I know I lose money because of this...but sometimes this has actually helped me get more.

I am however very good at looking seductive when I dance. I have been dancing my whole life and I view the stage purely as a performance.

I am working on developing my "hustling" skills and I'm getting close to figuring out what works form me. Right now I'm not making what most strippers would consider "good money", but to the average Joe it's no chump change.

*Hustler: a girl who makes guys open their wallets
**Private Dances: in our club there are no lap dances. A private dance is done in a visible corner of the club where girls are 3 feet from the customer
***Stage Dances: a modified lap dance done on stage. The guy sits on his hands and hooks his feet around the bottom of the chair.

Please Welcome KiKi to the Main Stage!

After dancing on and off for the past 2 years I am finally starting my blog. I am a little bit of a
newbie to the club scene and most of my experience thus far has been in private parties. I have
recently started at a club that I love and plan to be there for the next few years as I figure out
how the rest of my professional life will play out.

Throughout this blog I'll be sharing with you my experiences...the good and the bad. Also, I want to share some of my crazy stories from my early days of stripping...private parties are
a very different experience from working in clubs...I feel that some of those stories are worth
sharing with the world (such as the mother and daughter girl-on-girl show I witnessed...PUKE!)

I hope you all enjoy reading this blog as much as I enjoy the art of exotic dancing...the bullshit is amusing as well <3
